Your software checks the key against your store, and your store keeps a record of every website it runs on. A one-file PHP client is included, so you can add licensing to your own software in a few steps.

🔒 Protection that works

• 🚫 Revoked, refunded or cancelled keys lock the software with a clear error at its next check
• ✍️ Signed replies. A fake license server, a replayed old answer or a copied license file is rejected
• 🏷 Each key is tied to its website address, so a copy moved to another domain stops working
• 🔗 Footer link check. Your "Powered by" link must stay on the finished page. If it is removed or changed, the software stops
• 🕵️ Your store checks the live site itself, so a patched copy can't hide a missing link from you
• 🧪 Edited client files are flagged because the client reports a fingerprint of itself

🙋 Customers help themselves

• Customers see their keys, downloads and install sites in My Account
• They can reset a license themselves to move to a new website
• Limit resets to once every set number of days (default is 30) so keys can't be shared around

🛡 Private and honest

• No card or payment details are ever collected or stored
• Your data stays in your own database on your own hosting
• Plain-language note: PHP software is delivered as readable code, so no license system can stop a skilled developer who edits the files. This plugin makes that hard, tells you when it happens and lets you revoke the key. The guide shows how to make it harder still
